Cincinnati Bengals' Chad Johnson Partners with Feed The Children After Visit to Africa

International hunger relief organization, Feed The Children, is proud to announce their new partnership with Cincinnati Bengals’ All-Star Wide Receiver, Chad Johnson. Johnson recently designed a set of four dog tags in blue, red, black, and Bengals’ orange, which are available for $15 each at www.BuyItForChildren.com. On the front of the dog tag is the Feed The Children logo, and the back has the message “Providing Hope for Hungry Children - #85”. All proceeds go to Feed The Children.

Degree for Men is also getting in on the action and has decided to donate money to Feed The Children for everyone who votes on Chad’s checklist at www.trashtalk85.com

Johnson’s passion for feeding hungry children began in March, when he traveled to Kenya with Feed The Children’s President and Co-founder, Larry Jones. While in Kenya, Johnson visited the Frances Jones Abandoned Baby Center and several area schools, and decided to provide two meals a day to a school with 750 students. Johnson witnessed first-hand the awful living conditions and the plight of the children in Kenya, including many instances where he saw families of 12 or more living in an 8 x 8 room with no running water or toilets.

Larry Jones is greatly moved by Chad’s compassion for children, “While we were in Kenya you could see the pain in his eyes and heart as he met and worked with the children there,” said Larry Jones. “But more importantly, when Chad returned, his compassion didn’t wane. He has worked tirelessly to raise awareness and funds to help those children, and that’s what makes him a hall-of-famer to those children who need him.”
